Caba Creative Trail set to rock Norries Headland Park

The lineup for live music at the Caba Creative Trail on October 4 will bring an eclectic mix to Norries Headland Park. With a celebration of all things musical including rock, folk, opera and stand up comedy, the full day line-up of original tunes will get the young and young at heart up and dancing.

“The arts include music and performance and we are stoked to find such a wealth of local talent to share their skills and enthusiasm with our community and visitors.  It’s going to be a fantastic day with a wide variety of music to tempt everyone to come outside and join in the fun" say Duke Albada, Vice President of Caba Creative.

The live music will be at Norries Headland Park, which will be transformed into a mini-festival. Grab something to eat from the food stalls, peruse the artists market, then set up your picnic blanket and kick back to the sweet sounds of Peace by Piece or the harmonic, pop-folk groove creations from The Meerdogs.

The Bootlegged Rascals are a Cabarita based high school band and are set to bring their mix of rock, reggae and blues music to the public.  Soulful tunes will filter from the vocal chords of My Figment while Tara Williams brings opera to the beach.

"We have been inundated with local musicians wanting to take part so we’ve been able to bring a wide variety of music and styles to the stage.  From the Pottsville Drumming Circle to gravelly rock from 3Speed Dragsters, we are super excited to present our regions' musicians" says Peita Gardiman, President of Caba Creative.

The Caba Creative Trail, part of the Tweed Fusion weekend, will transform the walkway from Pandanus Parade, over Cabarita Hill, through the Littoral rainforest to Norries Headland Park into a 2km temporary outdoor creative event.  With a range of visual artists, arts, musical and craft activities for kids and adults, arts/design market stalls, gourmet food, performances and live music, there will be something for all ages and interests at this years’ Caba Creative Trail.

The Caba Creative Trail is on Saturday 4 October 2014 from 10am till 4pm in Cabarita Beach.  For more information please find us on Facebook at or contact Peita Gardiman on
